Review:

I watched Deadpool and instantly fell in love. Growing up with two brothers I’ve always enjoyed superhero films but this one, for me, was so refreshing. I love a good anti-hero which Deadpool completely embodies. He’s just a bit of a goofy idiot most of the time and while reading this bind up I was surprised how he got out of most of his situations!

I am a sarcastic person with a pretty dark sense of humour and the combination of both in the bind up was brilliant for me. It’s rare I chuckle out loud while reading but this had me in stitches quite frequently. I loved how he’d incorporate song lyrics into witty responses because this is also something that I do.

I adored how it showed his internal monologue and how this was done as if he was talking to you, the reader. Breaking the 4^th wall in books/films etc is something I adore it pulls me in and makes me feel more connected like I’m a part of it all.

The artwork was pretty spectacular too but since this is a big “brand” of comic I expected nothing else, the colours ran in a theme and even though I’ve found some comics tricky to read/connect with I certainly didn’t have an issue with this one.

Overall: I can’t wait to pick up more volumes of this it’s so brilliantly witty and funny and just a refreshing read ideal for a rainy weekend!
